A YEAR OF MORNINGS

Just pre-ordered this:

Seems somewhat common nowadays for a blogger with a dedicated following to be discovered by a publisher and release a nice book - so was the case for port2port's Maria A. Vettese, whose photography has been a source of inspiration for me since discovering her site. Her photos are so, so beautiful, even when it's just a piece of toast and jam on a ceramic white plate with morning sunlight, or orange peels in the sink - she has such a talent for making art out of daily mundane life, and really, what more can you ask for? In fact, her 3191 project was part of the inspiration for this blog - two friends, miles apart, sharing things in common.

Yesterday I saw one of my neighbors biking around the block in a t-shirt, casual jeans, barefeet. It was so carefree, I wish I had my camera.

This looks like a fun book to pass a lazy weekend morning to.
