EVERYTHING WINE

I'm a shameless reader of the Everything Wine Book: From Chardonnay to Zinfandel, All You Need to Make the Perfect Choice. See, I learned from a chapter in there that Washington State is the up-and-coming place for vineyards; the recent "trendy" pick in regional wines. So I'm at the grocery store, and see a nicely packaged "Columbia Crest" Chardonnay from Washington State, 2005, pick it up, and it's one of the best cheap white I've ever tasted. Mellow flavor, simple tinges of pear and cinnamon. My dog hates the smell of alcohol but is actually curious about this one.
