ENDER SAYS RELAX

In the midst of paper writing, co-chairing a panel at a conference, and trying desperately to sublet my lame midwest apartment, I remembered that the best things in life are sometimes furry, lazy, and sleepy. And maybe made of dreams. See?

What's this? A dog that reads "Harry Potter?" Why do I find this so amusing? I did not even pose this, I swear. Ender just happens to have incredible taste.

Oh yeah, also, my computer has been having kernel panics, aka the blue screen of death, and I (and by I, I mean my friend S) replaced the harddrive. I now have 200 gigs of space. I don't even know what to do, except write my great Mexican-Korean soap-opera masterpiece. (Someone was trying to describe a book she was reading to me recently, and she started with the phrase "best-seller soap-opera." Turns out it was "Freedom" by my love, J. Franzen. This also greatly amused me.)

I might just go and take a cue from the dumbest, shaggiest creature I know and curl into fetal position.

peace,
t
