For my complex website design class, I had to make a website using Google App Engine (which is free!) - you can use a blend of python, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, html/css, etc, to build your site. Anyway, I made my page really pretty (not really, but I like the color scheme) and there were all these requirements for our site. It had to have links, it had to have a list, and store data, and rating system. So I stored some books on my Datastore (part of GAE) and "wrote" some books. My pen name is.... Suzy.
Here you go:
You're welcome.
I guess you probably have to click on that in order to read it. Sorry. Don't fear; this summer I plan on being super-productive and learning JavaScript and redesigning Bookstylist. This is probably the first Claire is hearing about this. I'm also taking a graphic design class next year! I'm excited :)
My friend F recently turned me onto Odd Futures. Love. They were on Jimmy Fallon lately, and who else but MOS DEF appears at the end. One of my fav concerts was Mos Def/Talib Kweli last year in Oakland. So good. Also, in other music news, TV on the Radio's new album has been released! With a full-album video!! Sigh. So much goodness. Especially at the 49 min mark when Tande dresses up as Prince circa the Love Symbol era. OMG. Remember that? When he wrote "SLAVE" on his cheek? Prince is so good. He makes me want to move to Minnesota.
