Making friends with my friend Q's turtle, Tank. Actually, Tank and I are on contentious terms and he pooped on my sandals!!
I thought a turtle would be the strangest thing Q owned but then he showed me this GLOW IN THE DARK fan. Cheese & Rice! (or Jesus Christ), as Q would say.
I went to a book party with Q and J at Housing Works for "Burn This Book," edited by (one of my favs) Toni Morrison. The party was surprisingly well-stocked with cheese, wine, AND beer (Stella). I got this neat souvenir: matchbook! Hee! I then went and ate at Ray's Pizza for the first time (spinach-ricotta slice). It was pretty good, I was pretty drunk.
Making friends with more animals... these two puppies are best friends and they yelp when they can't see each other across the backyard. So adorable.
I'm obsessed with Blackstreet's "No Diggity" ...
I don't even know if S and I are reading "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter" anymore. I got to page 200 and am waiting to see if she even has the patience to read it without punching someone. I am making stead in my Irish folk tales though! They are pretty awesome.
I was planning on making a rhubarb pie for Claire on Monday to celebrate her graduating Parsons, but I didn't see any rhubarb at the Farmer's Market in Union Square :( What to do?!
