FITZGERALD FASCIMILE

I was trying to remember why "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" by Fitzgerald sounded so familiar, and then I realized that someone recommended "The Confessions of Max Tivoli" a few years ago, and I hated it. The plot is similar: someone is born in reverse, old to young. It's funny, on the amazon link, the Publishers Weekly review even mentions the homage to Fitzgerald, and it just makes me wonder what author Andrew Sean Greer thought he was bringing to the table of this oft-told plot (certainly not style).
