Tiff, that was an email to you more than a year ago! And I think I've converted you to a Melissa Bank lover since then. If I were to write HER an email, this is what it would say:
Dear Ms. Bank,
When, oh when can we expect your next book? I will personally start a calendar countdown. A Girl's Guide to Hunting and Fishing and The Wonder Spot are definitely both on my Top 10 Favs. Your relatable, loveable, down-to-earth almost dorky characters are sorely missed. I have no doubt that your next will be just as poignant and real - you make the most crushingly intangible feelings somehow palpable and zany, in a life-shouldn't-be-taken-too-seriously kind of way. I could not put your books down, and have read both of them twice. Please do let us know if there's an upcoming release that we can look forward to.

omg i totally remember this. and then i went to the friends of the library bookstore and bought both of them ($1 each) and ahh, so good. bank was there before chicklit even became a category, before it became derogatory to call it that, before 'the devil wears prada' (ughh).... sigh, we should wikipedia bank and see if she is coming out with something -- or if she is even alive.
