IT COULD BE SERIOUS

It is time we addressed our obsession with our blender.

It was a gift from my cousin, for letting him stay on our couch for a week during spring break. To break it in, I made cauliflower-cheese soup. Then we tested it out with some smoothies. Since then, the blender (poor, resilient thing) has not had one moment of rest. It is not uncommon for it to be used three times a day - for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, at least. The greatest thing about it is that it's made of glass, and has twelve (12!) functions: pulse, grate, blend, shred, grind, liquefy, ice crush, easy clean, puree, cream, chop, whip, and mix.

Alvin thinks it's an acute case of eating disorder, but let's just call it neurotic behavior. We have pretty much forgotten how to chew. Below, some recipes.

---
THE EVERYTHING IN YOUR FRIDGE SMOOTHIE
1 stalk celery
1 medium carrot, peeled
1/2 an orange
1 banana
some orange juice
some soy milk
some frozen berries
-voila!

Or, Frozen peaches + frozen mixed berries + milk + 1 banana.

Tiffany's Red cabbage + broccoli + cauliflower + chicken broth soup.

As well, Tiffany's Kale + pink lemonade + parsley + I'm not quite sure mix.

We're gonna make some yogurt veggie dips soon. To go with homemade tortilla chips.
---

Fear not, today's dinner is a very substantial meal of curried noodles with broccoli and potatoes and carrots. Which brings up the case of our rapidly depleting Sriracha sauce..but let's not even go there.
