DEKALB PUBLIC LIBRARY IN BUSHWICK

I got lost two days ago going to the post office and I accidentally found the nearest public library, which is the result of divine providence. The library is small but neat, and I'm glad that it's so close (three blocks down away from the M train, five blocks to the right, Claire). The librarian said I could check out 5-0 materials out at one time. FIFTY! I don't think I could could carry that much home. Here are the goodies:
As you can tell, I'm still trying to learn Spanish. Apprenda espagnol, as I like to say. I'm not sure I conjugated that correctly, but I haven't opened the books yet. (Buena suerte to that.) I stole one of those books that are on display called "Language is a Place of Struggle" edited by Tram Nguyen, because I'm dorky. Also, the green card in the middle of everything? My library card! So pretty!

I also borrowed "The Science of Sleep" for movie night this week because Gael Garcia Bernal is in it, and Oh My God have we all seen "Y Tu Mama Tambien?" Yes.

There was also a small music selection so I borrowed the Boss' latest release "Working on a Dream" and Santogold's eponymous debut, and she's currently yelling at me in English with an accent I'm not sure where from but I'm pretty sure she's from PHILADELPHIA, and went to school at Wesleyean University so there is NO REASON I shouldn't be able to understand her friggin English. My God. Music these days. Okay, she's stopped shouting and it actually sounds fine, now. I'm just saying. Don't talk with your mouth full.

currently listening to:
Starstruck
Santogold
