These days, I am an emotional rollercoaster. Not a love rollercoaster, which I think would be neat, but an emotional one. I was reading "The Time Traveler's Wife" for the twentieth time (and I think each time, it gets worse, which is depressing in itself) and started crying. I watched "50 First Dates" and started crying. That movie is not even supposed to be sad. But wait-- I watched it about a week after reading this article: An Affair to Remember.
It's about a 82 and 95 year old falling in love. Trouble is, they both have dementia. They are separated by the old man's son, who thinks old people should not have sex, especially if they can't remember it. Afterwards, both fall into depression even though they shouldn't be able to remember why! I really don't think there is anything sadder than that.
You should read it. Then you can join me on my rollercoaster.
Other things I am reading:
"Barron's GRE Test Prep"
"The Green Mile" by Stephen King
currently listening to:
Hello Goodbye
The Beatles
friday i'm in love! tiffany
