I DONT WANT THIS TO END

I'm reaching the end of "American Prometheus", the biography about Oppenheimer, and I don't want it to end! It's weird because everyone already knows what happens to him-- you know, he DIES-- but it's still a novel concept to me: that someone I just spent 600 hundred pages reading about dies! And even though the book starts off with his funeral procession, it didn't feel real to me because I didn't know him yet. I only have fifty pages left, and it's the part of the book where everything is sped up because after his infamous trials and being deemed a sort of political threat, public interest declined... so it's all unsolicited denoument from here on out....

On another note, I spent around the same time invested in "Anna Karenina", if not more, and lady just would NOT die. I kept waiting and waiting, and THEN finally. Wonderful, wonderful, vindictive train.
