JUDY MOODY

“Sometimes I think I am Judy Moody,” says Megan McDonald, author of the adorable Judy Moody books. I haven't read them but judging by its popularity, most readers probably feel the same way, relating to the "mercurial" and bluntly hilarious heroine. If I were only in the third or fourth grade, I think my bookshelf would be filled completely with Judy Moodys: "Around the World in 8 1/2 Days," "Declares Independence," etc. and of course the book that started it all: "Judy Moody Was In a Mood. Not a Good Mood. A Bad Mood."

I love the appealing, natural feel of the jacket and how well Peter H. Reynolds' illustrations work on every cover. The simple die-cuts, unconventional trim, fun colors and rebellious titles make me want to purchase whole stock fulls to give to my nieces and grandkids. My um, imaginary ones.

Also, I want that typeface. Where can I buy Judy Moody font!

On their website, you can join their fan club, design your own bandage, and download a kit to help you host your very own Judy Moody Day.

Oh to be 9 again!

Aw i'm sure they'd be really amusing if I were back in 4th grade sitting next to my favorite person in class.
