FROM GOOD TO GREAT

Working at a fast-growing food franchise - one that went from one store in 2005 to nearing 50 today - there's always talk in the office about the rise (and sometimes fall) of the Starbucks' in the world, the Krispy Kremes, the Jamba Juices, and their competitors. One book that came up in a discussion was Jim Collins' Good to Great, a calculated list of 11 companies that "made the leap," including Walgreen, Pitney Bowes, Wells Fargo, and Circuit City. He includes here his criteria and conclusions, the whys and hows - an entertaining read to inspire a boost in your own business . Worth checking out.
